The punishment from my coach Paul

I again turned up to training on the Monday night with stiff legs from Sunday’s race not looking forward to the hard session. We did a warm up as usual. We got into the session where we had to run around this course that Sune had set up and we had to been in zone 5 on each lap and we had to do the lap in the same time or faster I managed to do around the same time as my training is not going well so there wasn’t much effort and I was tired from been at work and Sune’s sessions are really good but are getting too hard. I decided that I was still tired and my legs where stiff so I decided to what I do best and ignore the training plan and only do a 20 min jog on Tuesday night after work. I went to the club on Wednesday night where we did 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, with a 2 min rest Rob set out a little course on the athletic field I did the first 2min run and I did one lap and every minutes after the first I increased by half lap. After the session I  stretched down and my coach Paul was asking me how my training plan was going and I said downhill and that I was struggling with the plan and I only done 20 min jog on Tuesday night which didn’t go down well and he punished me and told I couldn’t have rest on Thursday as I had one Tuesday with my 20 min jog so I a had to do 5x10 min with 2min rest on the Thursday night after work. I went out did my  5x10 min with 2min rest just on the footpath around Northallerton but not at a fast pace and managed to cover 4.8 miles. I went out on Friday night after work I ran up around target wood just cover over 3.4miles I did confuse myself by going the opposite way around and thinking that I was going to get lost but I didn’t I had to stop on a downhill because a dog ran up and I thought I would get tripped up and do a roll pony down the hill. I went out on Saturday and did my 1 hrs jog I started off at my house and just ran around Northallerton on the footpath until the hours was up. I went out on Sunday morning or should I say I struggled to get out the door and do the first 3 miles of my 12 miles but I got there and didn’t want to give up because I knew I would get pushed again for the second part of my run I couldn’t make my mind up where I was going to run so I just went back out and I decide to take this farm track and ran up the field along the side of Bullamore Road until I got to the last but one field and got chased by herd of sheep and then I got to the last field where I couldn’t find my way out the field apart from going straight across the field I then ran down Bullamore Road and back home my 12 miles run complete so I am back on track and complete my first week since I start over four week ago and will take each week as it come
