The week started with me taking a rest from doing any running on Monday because of the knee injury and how much it was hurting me on Thursday night and then again Saturday night when I did my speed session. I was giving blood for the first time on Wednesday so I was glad to rest my knee and I did no other running all week until Sunday when I did Ripon 10. I turned up on with Ken at the Cricket club with time to spare the start was 1 mile I did a warm up to the start, we got started by running though 3 field and out on to the country road then we went over more fields and down a farm track where I nearly slipped over twice, up more hills and got lost and the boring run though studly royal which seems to go on for ever. It was like being on a treadmill and going no where. On a happy note it was downhill from about the 7th mile marker and my knee was ok I started off doing the first miles in 10 minutes and my time per miles went downhill. On another happy note I did the race 15 minutes faster than two year ago and my time was 1hrs 53:12
