The Tale of two run
Monday was Christmas Eve so no running club. So after work and before
going down to my mum’s for Christmas I went for a 3 miles run on the footpath
around Northallerton even though I was tired after finishing work I then got my
2 bags and went for Christmas at my mum’s. Had a rest on Christmas day and
enjoyed the day I then went for a run on Boxing Day which took me down Sowerby
to drop a Christmas card of at my Nan’s and a run back through town and up
Sutton Road and into Felixkirk to drop of a Christmas card of at Fran’s but how
many hills did I need to climb before getting to Fran’s house and then the last
hill got me and I started to slow down and had a little rest before setting off
back to my mum’s for my Boxing Day dinner and managed to get in 6 miles running
and I did enjoy the run along the road rather than running on the footpath
around Thirsk or Northallerton for a change. Rest on Thursday and Friday
because I was working and Saturday I because I was doing the Jolly Holly Jog
but I slept in and missed the train on Sunday morning so I took myself for a
9.52 miles run. The first part of the run was across the fields and towards
Northallerton Golf Club and around the grounds, back down Yafforth Road and
onto Springwell Lane, parts were flooded and still managed not to get my feet
wet. Back home to get a drink water for the second part of my run which rain on
the way around I ran up Scholla Lane towards the Fox and Hounds and back down
Bullamoor Road this is the first time I have ran up Scholla since Lorraine and
David were in Northallerton I must have been mad doing a lot of hill work in
the last week or is it because I sick of running on the footpath around
Northallerton. I am changing my plan so when I am not working I will be running
and when I am working I will have a rest unless I am working 5 days and will go
out after work. The challenge hasn’t finished yet but I am aiming for 1000
miles next year.
