The last long run before York marathon



I have been suffering from the lack of motivation over the last two weeks only sort of been going to the club and doing one extra run through the week or at the weekend.


So Monday night sessions have been really hard where I think Sonja is trying to killed our arms and legs (only joking.) We did a warm up for about 15 min we then did lots and lots of drill circuits and supersets and I made the mistake of teaming up with Fran who nearly killed me or should I say wouldn’t let me give up before the time was up so I had a good hard session for a change. Wednesday was back to the cub were we did 2 sets of circuits and then outside for 5x3min with 2min rest I have decided to brave the cold and run with the outdoor group in the dark its so much better and so much fun I run on inside as to stay with the group and when we have finished our 3 min we all re-group and set out again not much more running this week apart for a 30min jog after work on Friday. My excuse for not running on Sunday was because it was too warm and I was painting my hallway instead but that did nowt to help my arms which are very stiff atm. On to this week where it has been much of the same club on Monday where because Miss slack (Fran Jeffery) had done her long run on Monday she was at the club Monday night so I did a bit of slacking it was still a hard session we did the same as last week Sonja add something different in the warm up where we had to get into a group of whatever number she shouted out I did get in to trouble because I got confused to how many was in my group and swapped groups only to find we had 10 and they all had to do press ups we did some circuits and superset and a lot of stretches to finish. Wednesday came around again and I was back for more punishment we did a warm up and then 2 sets of circuits where we had to run to next exercise as they were on both sides of the hall and then I went outside with the outside group and we did 4x4min with 2 min rest where I ran on inside with Jane who is about my speed we did 4 sets and then we did a cool down and finished. Then it was to the club AGM where it was over in half hour and I am still on the committee no more running until my last run on Sunday which I sort of took the advice of my coach and sort of ditch the watch well I still had it on and running but I just changed to something else to stop me looking at it every 5 min which worked wonders so I might try that for next weeks marathon so I have got my motivation back and very excited about doing the York marathon next Sunday
