Hartlepool Cross Country

we got to the cross country at Hartlepool knowing that it had been raining all morning so we went and checked out the beck we had to cross to see how far it was up or if we could jump the beck. So my plan was to run through the beck and get wet feet. The course was that muddy we never walked it this year even though it was dry afternoon until we started in the rain but luckily it was only a shower. We ran around the field and out on to the course where we did 3 big laps downhill, over the beck, up more muddy hills where I felt as if I was going backwards down two of the hills because it was that muddy. I did run up all the very large mole hills and I was slipping all over the place it was very tough on the legs going up the hills and nearly lost my shoes in the mud towards the end. I did have Walter for company on the last lap to drag me around. On a happy note I did a PB even though it was a muddy course in 62.21 knocking 4.09 minutes off last years time. Also the Marshalls and timekeepers stopped until everbody had come in.
