I got to Jill's early on Sunday morning still not feeling 100 per cent from this cold that I started with on Saturday morning. I thought I would still do the race and see how I felt and if I didn’t feel that good to run I would just pull out of the race. The first 6 miles I was doing 10 minute miles at a consistant pace then I started to struggle on the 7th mile then I did 8th 9th and 10th miles at 10.5 minute miles at consistant pace then 11th 12th and 13th miles I really struggled I ended up walking and running and struggling to get up the last hill I was just glad to finish and thankful that other runners kept me going. On the happy side I did a PB and ran the first 10 miles without stopping and not stopped that long at the water station the race was well organised with a lot of marshals all over the course I did feel dizzy, sick and tired at the finish I did run the race in 2.17, 12 minutes faster then last year how with this cold I will never know. If I didn’t have this cold I would of done in 2.15 I have done 178.3 miles over the last 12 weeks in preparation for the Brass Monkey and that is not counting the stuff we do at the club on Monday and Wednesday
