Another 10 miles training running
The week started with me not going to the club because Ken was busy. So
I was happy that I could have a rest until I put it on Facebook and Fran
Jeffery commented on it and put me in my place by telling me it will help if
you do a recovery jog of about 3 miles so I said ok miss bossy so I took myself
for a 3 miles run around Northallerton and felt more stiff on Tuesday when I
went to Blackpool Zoo and had a walk along on the sea front. It was a very slow
pace on Monday night after the long run on Sunday so I had a rest on Tuesday
and had day out instead. Back to the club on Wednesday night where we did the
warm up as usual then we got into the session where we did 6x3min with 1 half
min rest in between each set I ran around with Pam just to loosen the legs off
because they were so stiff by the third
set we were running at 8 half to 9min/miles pace and I managed to nearly kill
Pam because she did her best to keep up with me and then told me to run last
one on my own which was still the same pace as the rest of the session I then
had a slow recovery run around the athletics field with Hywel and Nikki which
was faster than I was doing the session which was meant to be slow but I manage
to keep up. I had a rest on Thursday and Friday I decided to doing some weeding
at the Allotment and spent 4hrs and ended up with bad back. I had a rest
Saturday. I went out for another 10miles run on Sunday morning instead of going
to the 10k race at Tholthope today so I started off at good pace for about the
first 2 miles then I got in to a slower pace of about 11min/miles and by the
time I done the second half of the 5 miles I was a bit bored of running around
the town centre, overall I got to 8 half miles before I started to struggle and
wanted to give up and go home only thing was when I realised I was heading back
home don’t feel to stiff at the minute and I was 7 second faster than last week
on the same course
