The running is back on track I got rid of the cold and I am going to
have 2 good weeks of training before the marathon that was what I was hoping
before I got the dreaded lurgy again on Friday but hopefully it’s only a 3 day
bug
Monday 20 min Jog
With no club tonight because it’s Bank Holiday Monday I decided to do a
20 min jog around Northallerton just to recover from the 12 mile run from
yesterday. I just wanted to loosen the legs off and as I don’t have a marathon
training plan at the minute I am just making it up as I go along until I speak
to my coach
Tuesday 10x2 Min 1 Min Rest
I set my watch at 2 min so off I went out on my run on the footpath
just around where I live running for 2 min and walking for 1 min I did this for
20 min I managed to keep a consistent pace on each 2 min and cover 0.25 miles
Wednesday Club with Rob Easter
Handicap
I had my friends two kids all day because she was ill I enjoyed my day
had eaten a lot of rubbish at dinner time which meant I had to run double hard
so I went to the club. We had the Easter Handicap on the cross country course
at the back of the athletics club, we set off at our start time that was worked
out by Steve Booth so I set off with Richard Bailey and he passed me coming out
of the woods and I just couldn’t catch him at all. I did manage to do another
PB on this course we then had our presentation where each of us got an Easter Egg
and had some nibbles and chat with other runners.
Thursday Rest
The made up marathon training plan said rest so thats what I did. I
just did some cross training
Friday Rest
I have had a runny nose for a few days and was tired from so I had a rest
and went around to see my friend instead
to see if she was better.
Saturday 40 Min Jog
I went out on Saturday afternoon after I felt a bit better which I can
say that was the worst think I could have done but anyway it was just a slow
jog around Northallerton nothing too hard as I was doing a long run on Sunday
of 15 miles but when I came back in I felt so tired and drained.
Sunday No Long Run
I got up early for a change to go out for run on Sunday morning instead
of going out in the afternoon all I can say is that I felt dreadful this
morning and felt so tired I realised I have had this bug that my friend had
earlier in the week I even had a Nanna nap this afternoon for few hours and
felt a bit better
